About Us

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul

As members of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, we take part in a global lay Catholic ministry comprised of more than 800,000 volunteers worldwide, dedicated to serving Christ in those around us. Inspired by Gospel values, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul leads women and men to join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to those who are underserved in the community, in the tradition of its founder - Blessed Frédéric Ozanam, and patron - St. Vincent de Paul. Society members, known as Vincentians, are drawn from every ethnic and cultural background, age group, and economic level.

In the United States, there are over 4,500 conferences (local chapters). Our conference in Bremerton (called the Conference of Our Lady Star of The Sea) is one of 6 conferences that make up the District Council on the Olympic Penninsula. The District is placed under the Archdiocese of Seattle.

St. Vincent de Paul Bremerton has been serving the community since 1937. We provide services without discrimination, regardless of race, religion, or sexual orientation, and will continue to serve and support our community with compassion and friendship.
